10:36 a.m. on 2001-12-03 The weekends feel much shorter in the winter, don't they? I kept myself busy by doing research for a paper on that ever-lively topic of the Holocaust. I got a little sad at the beginning of the semester because I think I'll miss the film classes, but at this point, I've done a 360. Sitting next to Mr. Siegel (the 65 year old Jewish guy) made me realize that I don't want to end up like him...I don't want to be a career student. I don't wanna sit in a class and exclaim things, such as: "Being Jewish is about being able to throw your clothes off and not caring!" Strangely, Mr. Siegel taught elementary school for 27 years...let's just hope he never put his "jewishness" into practice. Last nite, I watched "Brian's Song" on ABC which turned out to be a bad remake of a good (one of the few) tv movie from the 1970's. Incidentally, I'm absolutely fucking going insane waiting for "RollerBall" the remake to come out. Rollerball was such a great film, and the remake sounds decent as well. I'm going to try to write a paper now. in the slammer - up for parole CLIX |
